Even though Google search is not the be all and end all to business, having a site that ranks well for commonly searched for key terms helps greatly. SEO today is increasingly driven by natural language search, that is, people doing searches that are more like normal questions than two or three keywords. Always research before you buy any SEO software because the search engine Algorithms are constantly changing thereby improving their search technologies to provide the most relevant results for their users. SEO tools for Google, MSN and Yahoo are numerous. If you are new in the business then remember that the big guns are already optimizing for the most popular keywords and you don’t stand a chance for those keywords. Hence, choose keywords that have a good search volume but, are still not that popular. Use them 2-3 times for every 100 words in your content.

Are Keywords – and Keyword Research – Dead?

My suggestion would be not to shoot press releases in all directions for the sole purpose of building links. Be very genuine of the purpose of writing your press release. Keywords should never be used to try to trick or mislead human beings or Google spiders.. This means using keywords that do not exactly describe the contents of your page, repeating a keyword over and over in a way that in not natural (known as “keyword stuffing”) or using any other black hat SEO tactics (like keywords in a white font on a white background) are all off limits. The user always comes first. So, if you can’t fit the keyword in naturally anywhere, just forget it and use it in your image alt-text etc. If nofollow links do not influence the position of a web page in the search results, why should use use these links? Of course, a link without the nofollow attribute is much better. However, nofollow links can still have a very positive influence on your website, even if the effects are indirect:

Before April 2012, one could easily buy his ranking position. A little bit of these and a little bit of those links, and you could manage ranking on the first search engine results page. Well, that time is long gone. The Google Penguin Spam Filter is now part of Google’s Core Algorithm and works in real time. When approaching people and companies for backlinks, keep in mind that you’ll need to offer them/their readers some kind of benefit/value along with your link – an exclusive offer or discount. Use long tail keywords that are very specific to your business to target a particular audience. These phrases epitomize the true essence of your business without coinciding with other related companies. They also provide you with a chance to score high on a search query most pertinent to your products or services. But the truth is that quality will always trump quantity."

RankBrain is Google's machine learning artificial intelligence system that's used to help provide the best search results for users. It auto updates itself and "learn's" from people's searches. The factors that search engines use to rank results include social media engagement, off-site optimization, topical authority, latent semantics, mobile friendless, local optimization, domain authority, and much more. That's where search engine optimization (SEO) comes in. ore than just improve your search rankings, a well-intentioned approach to SEO will lead to a better overall user experience. And providing a memorable experience for your audience should be the #1 priority on your list. By using internal linking strategically, you can boost the ranking of other pages on your website. Say you have a popular page that is ranking highly in Google and receiving a lot of traffic. By strategically placing a link on that page to another on your site that you want to rank, you can pass “authority” to that page.
